POST MALONE’S ‘PSYCHO’ SET TO DEBUT AT NO. 2 ON HOT 100

Post Malone is ready to go “Psycho” on the Hot 100 yet again. The rapper-singer’s new Ty Dolla $ign-assisted single is headed for a top five debut on the chart next week.

Billboard reports that “Psycho” could possibly land at No. 2 on the chart, matching Malone’s best-ever opening with “rockstar.” Eventually, the 21 Savage collaboration went on to top the chart for eight weeks.

Additional projections indicate that “Psycho” will earn 45 million U.S. streams, more than 70,000 downloads, and 10 million in airplay reach.

Despite its impressive week, “Psycho” is not expected to dethrone Drake’s “God’s Plan,” which has remained atop for five weeks and counting. The Scary Hours single is slated to earn 75 million U.S. streams, 50,000 downloads, and 80 million in airplay reach.

“Psycho” will most likely become Malone’s third Hot 100 top 10 behind the aforementioned “rockstar” and “Congratulations,” which featured Quavo. The song would be Dolla’s second top 5 Hot 100 hit after reaching No. 4 with Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” in 2016.

“Psycho” and “rockstar” are both singles from Malone’s forthcoming sophomore album Beerbongs & Bentleys, which follows his 2016 debut, Stoney.

Post Malone Says “the U.S. Government Is the Biggest Lie”

While spending some time in Canada, Post Malone got together with the team at Montreality for a quick sit-down. During the interview, Post discussed everything from his favorite cartoons and video games, to life as an old man, his appreciation for 50 Cent, and posers wearing band T-shirts.

The standout excerpt from the conversation however came when the musician was asked about the biggest lie. Post quickly became animated, dishing on how the U.S. government is not what it used to be.

“The biggest lie in the world is the U.S. government,” he exclaimed. “It’s a f*cking reality show and I think there’s gonna be a lotta weird sh*t that happens within our generation that really changes the way of the world.”

Bruno Mars has all of the finesse of the women he sings about, and the 24K Magic World Tour concert is non-stop, dazzling entertainment, but what happens when ‘nostalgia’ turns into imitation?

Bruno Mars jived, sidestepped and slid through his 90-minute set with ease, putting on an energetic display that had the crowd on their feet. The funk and soul singer's vocals were pitch perfect and he was able to keep twirling even during the songs where he had a guitar around his neck.

It’s that showmanship that helped Mars sell out four nights at Spark Arena, setting a local record for promoter Live Nation when they went on sale eight months ago.

When the curtain rose on night one last night, an impressive stage set up was revealed, complete with hydraulic stage lifts, light-up disco flooring and pyrotechnics so loud I jumped every time they went off. The foam earplugs I had jammed in my ears were no use.

Opening with ‘Finesse’, Mars was joined on stage by The Hooligans, a seven-piece backing band that was the perfect harmonising, two-stepping accompaniment to their frontman. The way they all moved together with Mars was at times reminiscent of a West Side Story street gang and at others like the house band for James Brown, an artist Mars is frequently compared to.
