Joe Bonamassa is heading the lineup for the fourth Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruise … Cruise To The Edge has announced its announced its lineup, which includes Yes, Steve Hackett, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy and many more.
Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea will feature Joe Bonamassa, Black Country Communion, Los Lobos, J.J. Grey & Mofro, Ana Popovic, North Mississippi Allstars and more this year.
The cruise sets sail from Miami Feb. 26 and continues until March 2 next year. There will be a stop in Montego Bay, Jamaica, for blues lovers to get some time on the beach.
The ship, Norwegian Jade, is being billed as newly renovated with multiple stages. There will be space for 2,100 fans on the boat, and the last three editions reportedly sold out.
Previous festivals raised $181,000 for the Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, which funds scholarships and music programs.
A highlight on the bill is the multiple planned collaborations, including the reunion of Black Country Communion, which Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian.
Tickets are currently available through a pre-sale and the general onsale is May 19.
Yes is heading the lineup for Cruise To The Edge 2018, along with other prog-rock heroes next February.
The cruise will be aboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance Of The Seas, departing from Tampa, Fla., Feb. 3 and stoping in Belize City, Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico, before returning Feb. 8.
There will also be an optional pre-cruise party and tons of fan experiences like photo opps, Q&A sessions, theme nights and special “CTTE Late Night Live” which gives fans opportunities to play with rock-icons.
Additional artists performing include Marillion, Steve Hackett, Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy, Martin Barre of Jethro Tull, Saga, Anathema, Gong, Haken and many others.
The event will be hosted by Jon Kirkman.
